WE’LL MEET AGAIN…

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic we have sadly cancelled all of our VE Day 75 events.

We will be rescheduling as much as we can when it is safe to do so. We hope to be part of the autumn Brighton Fringe Festival – watch this space for news

During the war every school had its own shelter. Today the only school shelter open to the public in the UK is at Downs Junior School in Brighton.

Come and explore our unique shelter and museum as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival and find out what it was like to be a child in Brighton during the Second World War.

Can you help us share our air raid shelter experience with as many people as possible? Access into the shelter is via a hatch and ladder. We are fundraising to build a new accessible entrance to the shelter. Click here for more information.
